happy first day of school!

This morning I woke up and got all ready and excited for school.  I already had my backpack packed and ready so I wasn't even stressed about anything.  I even did my hair cute for my first day!
This is me, very excited for my first day at BYUI!
BUT.... (haha of course there is a but on this lovely day)
I decided to ride my bike to school, MUCH faster and better than walking I figured.
So after struggling just a little bit to get it out of the dang storage closet I was on my way.
I live at the bottom of a hill, so it was quite a steep climb to get to campus.
I thought I could handle it, but my little cruiser does not have gears.
I thought I was going to DIE.
I seriously considered getting off and walking my bike up the hill, it definitely would have been faster and much easier on my legs, but I was too embarrassed haha.
By the time I got to the top of the hill I almost considered ditching the bike altogether!
It was really cool outside, but I was fully sweating and pretty much could hardly catch my breath, I'm a little out of shape apparently.
FINALLY I found a nice little rack to park my bike at, then I went searching for the building I was supposed to go to.  I walked like nine miles out of the way and probably passed it a few times before I finally called Kayla and she gave me some good directions thank heavens!
I was a few minutes late to my first class, and I got to sit in the front row all by myself haha.
But it was quite a success, and a large victory for me to even get there that I didn't even care.
And I learned how to write the alphabet in class.
Seriously though, I'm already achieving great things in college here.

That one time I almost died

Last weekend I went camping with my family in Stanley.
It was BEAUTIFUL.  I love camping so much and it was so nice and fun and relaxing.
Oh wait... but almost dying is not nice, or fun, or relaxing.
Let me explain the tragic story of my almost death.
Friday morning we decided we were going to hike to a waterfall.  There was supposed to be one that was only like 2 and a half miles away and then another that was 3.6 miles away.  We decided to just go to the first one, but after walking for what seemed like forever we discovered that we had missed the sign for the first falls and were actually right next to the second. The waterfall was really pretty, but extra miniature from where we were standing! You could barely even see it from the path and the closer you tried to get, the more the trees just completely covered it up.

Well then along came a few boys hiking down the mountain and they told us that they had just hiked all the way up to the falls.  I was very excited about this, because of course I wanted to get a closer look.  They showed us a picture of them right next to falls and I was totally set on hiking up to get to it.  We asked them if it was very hard and they said it only took them about 30 minutes and it wasn't too hard at all, just a couple places with loose rocks and they said it took them even less time to get down.  Now I was really excited about this and recruited some followers to come along with me.

We started hiking up and all of the sudden the path got very narrow and steep, but we kept on going.  Kayla and Jordon had stopped, but my dad was in front of me and just kept going further and further so I kept following him.  Rocks were sliding under my feet everywhere, and nearly hitting me in the face from my dad above me.  It was extremely difficult to get my footing and I kept having to grab onto branches and big rocks just to stay on my feet.  Finally I came to a place where I literally couldn't get up any farther about 200 feet from the top and told my dad I was getting really scared and so we turned back. My heart literally was beating out of my chest.
If you can not tell by this picture, that tiny little path we are on is indeed right next to a cliff.  Safe? Eh... no, not exactly.  This was on the way down, for some reason we are smiling? Trust me, inside me and Kayla were dying.
The way down is where is got really scary.
If you look closely you can see that my butt is covered in dirt.  Yes this is because for a good amount of the way down I slid on the dirt and rocks.  This is not because I thought it would be a fun slide, but because I literally could not get my footing and there was nothing to brace myself on so it was either slide down, or fall to my death.  Me and Kayla were so scared and were both nearly in tears.  We made Jordon say a prayer before we started going down, I am convinced that it is the only reason I made it without having a complete breakdown.  As if it was not scary enough almost falling off a cliff numerous times and never being able to get my footing with rocks on the path falling everywhere, something even more scary occurred.  This is where I really almost died...
I was just walking along the steep, tiny path and I tripped over something.  I totally lost my footing and I think my heart stopped because I thought I was done for. I just knew that I was going to fall into the sharp rocks alongside the cliff. My dad was behind me luckily and saved me by grabbing the collar of my shirt.
Scariest. Moment. Ever.
I know I look very beautiful in this photo... But in the background if you get out a magnifying glass and look you can see the water fall in the background.  We were up SO high. We were trying to look happy about the hike.. We were not.  But it definitely made some good memories.  And we were just happy to all be alive and not hurt at all.
We decided that I am no longer allowed to make decisions and to never trust young boys from caldwell on hikes haha.

KATY PERRY

Welcome to the best night of my life.
No seriously though, it was amazing. Hands down the best night of summer!
KATY PERRY CONCERT!
We decided that we would dress up as Kathy Beth Terry
It was seriously SO much fun.
And if you haven't seen the video, you definitely should.
Me, Ki, Kirst and Shannon all went together and it seriously was such a blast.
We all decided that we should have been born in the 80's.
Or we are just going to bring the trends back.. Seriously though I wish I could dress like this every day.

It honestly was the best concert of my life.  I am now one hundred percent in love with Katy Perry.
She was so amazing live, and the concert was so great and SO entertaining.
I told my family that I want to be Katy Perry, and Jordon dead seriously said, "I never want to hear you say that ever again." Haha so funny, but even funnier that I was being completely serious.
I even now have a poster of her in my room haha she is seriously my idol.

Four Wheeling and Fun with Dad :)

Last weekend me and Ki had some great adventures with our great dad!!
He really is the best and always has fun ideas and takes us to do lots of exciting things.
First on our list for the weekend was four wheeling.
I LOVE four wheeling.  My dad invested in a third machine this year so we all got our own!

We went to this place up by arrow rock? I think, but i'm not really up to date with my forest trails haha.  There was part of it that was pretty bumpy and Kilee absolutely HATED it.  She even refused to go back up it and made my dad take her up, run down and then drive hers up.
Little did we know it really was probably so scary for her because her little stubs don't touch the foot rest!

It seriously was soooo pretty up there, and we saw a bald eagle! It was amazing!

Next on our list was to go get treats.  Me and Kilee suggested Dairy Queen.  I seriously love that place, but my dad wanted to branch out so we went to Westside Drive Inn... YUM

We got delicious shakes :)
Dad liked his so much he didn't even want to stop for a photo.

Our last adventure was to lucky peak.
Sunday afternoon my dad said he didn't just want to sit around the house so we took a little drive
We laid on a blanket on the grass, flew my dad's new helicopter toy... (I may have broken it in a crash landing) and played some games.
It was really relaxing, but Kilee decided to cut it short since she was not pleased that we didn't get any cell phone service up there.
I love my dad so much and I am so lucky that he loves to spend time with us!  And I love my little sister a little bit too.. okay a lot :) She is great, even with her little stubs!

JAI HO

Tonight me and my mom took a lovely little road trip to go pick Ki up from Cascade :).
It was quite a nice drive.
On the way back I came upon this song on my ipod and blasted it.
Okay seriously I LOVE this song.
I danced to it the entire time.
All by myself in the car, the whole entire song, never stopped.
I mean my moves were pretty much better than the ones in this music video.
And the whole time I was doing it I just kept saying "I'm having SO much fun!!"
Haha and I wasn't lying! It was the funnest thing ever.
Please listen, and dance. Bollywood style.
You'll thank me, I'm sure.

Happy Fourth!

I love America.

It's pretty great, and so of course I love the Fourth of July.
It totally snuck up on me this year, I cant believe its already July. But i'm totally embracing the new month haha :).
We just took it easy this year and spent time together as a family!
JoAnn's was having a huge sale so of course I had to go.  I swear i'm not 80 years old because that is literally my favorite store haha.  I saved more than I spent! Best day ever!
Then we swam, got ready and went down to the park for fireworks
We had a fun little picnic, went on walks, and played lots of apples to apples
I love these little girls.  They are so fun to spend time with and I'm glad I get to see them so much!
We were attempting to do the airplane thing.. me and Kilee failed many times.. Which resulted at me screaming a lot. People probably thought I was being attacked.
Kayla on the other hand was a professional!

The fireworks were so great! I loved these heart ones :)

LAGOOOOON!

This was seriously the funnest day ever!! And so hilarious too.
Kirst invited me and Ki to come to Lagoon for the day with her, Brinnlie, Shannon, and Morgan :)
JoAnn and Chandler were driving down to Utah for a wedding so we had to wake up extra early and drive down there so they could make it there, and we were literally at Lagoon alllll day! From 11 in the morning until 11 at night.

It was seriously so fun, and we went on the wet rides because it was blazing hot outside, that is why we look so great :) haha.  On rattlesnake rapids Shannon was worried that her boot was going to get wet.  When we were going under the waterfall we all ran to the side that she was sitting on screaming to get away from the water, but it turned and we allll got soaked except for her, she thought we were doing it to cover her boot, hahah so nice of us :).

Me Kirst and Brin went on the skycoaster! It was definitely one of the highlights.  I have gone before, but neither of them had and they were so scared that it made me SO scared.  It seriously was so frightening.  Right before we went up they got us all strapped together and then the worker goes "What's the season after summer?" We were all a little confused, them a little more than me haha and then I said fall? And all the sudden the floor went down and we literally fell off our feet, it was hilarious.  And then when we finally got to the top and screamed the ENTIRE way.  It was so scary, but so so fun.  The little kids who got on after us (we were shocked that little tiny children could do such things!) said that they could hear us screaming from a mile away haha.

Other great and funny that things that happened that I want to remember are...
- Sneaking onto the Samurai.  Morgan and Shannon didn't get on the first time that we went, so as we were getting off we just walked around for a second and then ran back to our seats and went twice.  We were positive that the workers were going to kick us off.  Hilarious.
-Eating a million treats.  After eating the sickest Subway for lunch, we had ice cream, icees, chicken strips, dippin dots, and churros.  Okay not everyone ate everything though haha but mostly.  And we even got some free churros out of a worker at the end of the night.  They were seriously amazing.

-There was this ride called the Screamer or something.  You just sit in this cage sort of thing and have to be in between the peoples legs behind you.. haha not as awkward as I just made that sound.  So me and Kirst went together and it literally was the scariest thing I have ever experienced.  It kept like going upside down and I just kept screaming "we aren't even buckled!!!" Seriously FRIGHTENING! We were so scared.  Then when we got off Morgan and Brinnlie claimed that it was relaxing?! WHAT? I was literally scared for my life!

- A million other little things like stopping and talking for forever all the time
-walking to the car and kirst throwing a cup of water on a dumb 12 year old making fun of Shannon, Morgan saying "guys lets just start dancing" and Shannon saying "ya wheres your bonnet?!" hahaha
- The large woman wearing a see through white dress.. YIKES
- Screaming like a man on the scrambler
-Brinnlie acting like she was pregnant and a man congratulating her
-Brinnlie claiming that if she didn't know me she would put me on someones "team"
-My sick dead feet when I took off my socks. hahahh oh my gosh so sick.
